Martha A. Bostedt

Martha A. Bostedt, 91, formerly of Council Bluffs, died Friday in Terrell, Texas, where she had been hospitalized.

She was born in Council Bluffs and lived here most of her life. She moved to Terrill 10 years ago.

She was the widow of John F. Bostedt who died in July 1970. A member of the local St. John's Lutheran Church, Bostedt was a three Gold Star Mother, having three sons die in prisoner of war camps in the Philippines.

She is survived by a daughter Mrs. Marion Mouton, Quinlan, Texas, a brother John G. Brandt, Council Bluffs, a sister Mrs. Julia VanDerveer, Council Bluffs, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Cutler Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dr. E. A. Hering, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will be in the Plumer Settlement Cemetery. Viewing will be possible after noon Monday at the Cutler Chapel.

Bostedt, a former longtime Council Bluffs resident died at a Terrell hospital Friday. Visitation with the family will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Cutler's.
