Mrs. Mary Helena Brandt, 81, 344 Lawton Terrace, died at her residence Wednesday afternoon, after an extended illness.

Mrs. Brandt was born in Mills county and lived all her life in this vicinity. She is a widow of Henry Brandt and a member of the First Christian church.

Surviving are three sons, Claus, John, and Bernard Brandt of Council Bluffs, five daughters, Mrs. W. E. Blood, Mrs. E. C. Briggs and Mrs. R. H. Poore, all of Council Bluffs, Mrs. W. D. Green of Pacific Junction, and Mrs. W. H. Klindt of Big Springs, Neb., 24 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Woodring's chapel with Rev. Loren Works and Rev. Fred Coley officiating. Burial will be in the Plumer cemetery in Mills county. The body is at the Woodring mortuary.

Large Crowd at Brandt Funeral

Over 300 persons attended the funeral of Mrs. Mary Helena Brandt, 81, 344 Lawton Terrace, a lifelong resident of this area, Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Woodring's chapel.

Rev. Fred Coley of Broadway Christian church, assisted by Rev. Loren Works of First Christian church, officiated. Burial was in the Plumer settlement cemetery in Mills county. There was a floral tribute of more than fifty pieces.
