OBITUARIES

Mrs. C. H. W. Busse

Anna Margaret Bichel was born Dec. 17, 1862, near Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany and died at her home near Decatur, Nebr. June 4, 1942, aged 79 years, 6 months and 9 days. She was the daughter of Frank and Catherine Bichel.

In 1872, at the age of ten, she came with her parents to America and settled near Mineola, Iowa. When her father died she and her mother made their home with her brother, Fred Bichel.

She was confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Council Bluffs, Iowa, in April, 1878 and was a member of the Lutheran Missionary Society, at Decatur.

On January 24, 1893, she was married to Charles Henry William Busse, who preceded her in death in August, 1932. In the spring of 1894 they came to the farm south of Decatur, which was her home for 48 years.

Those left to mourn are her children: Kathryn M., Elmer and John of Decatur, Theodore of Culver City, California; also four step children: Gustav, Mrs. Meta Watson and Mrs. Augusta Warren, all of Decatur and Edward of Colorado Springs. There are 14 grand-children and 6 great-great-grandchildren and a large number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the M. E. church, Monday June 8, at 10 o'clock, Rev. W. E. Homan of Bancroft in charge; burial at 3 o'clock, in the Lutheran Cemetery south of Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Pallbearers were Roy Tippery, Ross McCluskey, Frank Squires, Roy Farrens, Tom Guill and Dale Linscott.
