GLENWOOD—Funeral for Pauline Plumer Carter, 87, of Laguna Niguel, Calif., will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Salem Lutheran (Plumer Settlement) Church near Glenwood with the Rev. John Rinde officiating.

Mrs. Carter died June 16 at Laguna.

She was born in Mills County near Glenwood, graduating from the University of Nebraska and taught for several years in the Glenwood area. She taught school in Nevada and was a kindergarten teacher in the Clark County Public Schools for 33 years.

Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, in 1994.

Survivors include a daughter, Marion Hartje, of Laguna Niguel; a sister, Marie Ewing, of Wayne, Neb.; and a brother, Albert Plumer, of Glenwood.

Visitation with the family will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Cutler Funeral Home in Council Bluffs. Burial will be in the Plumer Settlement Cemetery.
