SOPHIA FULLENWIDER

Funeral services were held June 25 at the Raynor Lett & Kent Funeral Home for Mrs. Sophia L. Fullenwider, 75, who passed away last Tuesday at the Clarinda Municipal Hospital.

Clergyman was Rev. George Durkee with interment in the Plumer Settlement Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ernie Liddick, Jr., Louis Liddick, Tim Liddick, Harold Plummer and Marvin Plummer. Music was provided by Mrs. Richard Karr and Mrs. Alex Christensen, accompanied by Mrs. Dean Dusenberry.

Sophia was born July 15, 1895, to George and Louise Krass Schupp, in Brunswick, Mo. She moved to Co. Bluffs, as a child.

On Jan. 7, 1914 she married Joseph Fullenwider. Three girls were born to this marriage, Mary Louise, Ruth Esther and Lavenia Olive. They farmed many years in the Mills County area, then moved to Conway, Iowa in 1955. The Fullenwiders have resided at West Heights Manor Nursing Home in Clarinda, Iowa since May 1970.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Conway and a member of the Royal Neighbors of America for over 50 years.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Fullenwider of Clarinda; one daughter, Mrs. Max (Lavenia) Shook of Loveland, Colo.; four grandchildren and a great grandson; one brother, Melvin Schupp and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Jones, both of California. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, four sisters and her two daughters, Mary Fullenwider and Ruth Lemonds.
