HERMAN GOSCH

Herman Gosch was born Aug. 13, 1872 and died Dec. 24 in a hospital in Scottsbluff, Neb., at the age of 90 years.

Services were conducted from the Cutler Funeral home in Council Bluffs Dec. 27, with the Rev. Naylor of Timothy Lutheran church officiating. Burial was in the family plot at Salem Lutheran (Plumer Settlement) cemetery.

Pallbearers were his nephews, Arthur J. Thieschafer, Ray Fahrlander, Donald Cole and Charles Plumer, Jr., and two grandchildren, Norman and Don Crane.

As a youth, Mr. Gosch attended West Oak school. He married Lydia Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Young.

Three daughters and two sons born to this union survive him.

He farmed in Mills county and in the Bancroft, Neb., area for many years.

For some years after his wife's death, he lived with his sister, Mrs. Fred Thieschafer and family in Center township and in Council Bluffs and Omaha. About five years ago he went to live with a daughter Eleanor (Mrs. Jack Walker) of Scottsbluff.
