H. Darrell Green

H. Darrell Green, 58, of rural Council Bluffs, died Friday morning in a local hospital following an extended illness.

Born in Council Bluffs, Green was a resident there all of his life. He was a lab technician for fifteen years for the Griffin Pipe Company and last worked for the Tri-State Manufacturing Company. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the American Legion, Rainbow Post #1 and the Grenville M. Dodge Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #737. He and his wife, Charlotte, had been married sixteen years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister, Marietta McCleery of Shelby.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Clemens Hartfield will officiate. Burial will be in the Plumer Settlement Cemetery. Graveside military services will be conducted by the American Legion Rainbow Post #1.

Family visitation will be at the Meyer's Funeral Chapel Sunday eening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
