Mary T. Kreft

Mary T. Kreft, 85, a resident at the Immanuel Fontenelle Home in Omaha, died early Friday at an Omaha hospital following a brief illness.

She was born at Anita and had lived most of her lifetime in Council Bluffs. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Council Bluffs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil C. Kreft in 1957 and a son, Jack E. in 1960.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Mary Alice) Saichek of Omaha and Mrs. LeRoy (Virginia) Eims of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Carl Thompson of Council Bluffs and Te Thompson of Kalama, Wash.; two sisters, Sarah Letner of Council Bluffs and Elinor Shaver of Villisca; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Meyer Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Lyle V. Lee, pastor of the First Baptist Church will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Roger Adams.

Burial will be in the Plumer Settlement Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Meyer Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday evening.

Memorials may be given in the First Baptist Church.
