Funeral services for Judy K. Pleas, 17, 1215 Twenty-fourth Ave., will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Meyer Funeral Home.

The Rev. James C. Cormier, pastor of Twin City Christian Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Plumer Settlement Cemetery south of Council Bluffs.

Miss Pleas was found dead early Friday morning in a farm field near Crescent, the victim of an apparent murder.

She had been reported missing since Aug. 10.

Born in Council Bluffs, she was a lifelong resident of the city. She had been working as a telephone operator during the summer months and would have been a senior at Abraham Lincoln High School.

Survivors include her parents, Gordon Pleas and Norma Pleas, both of Council Bluffs; three sisters, Linda G. and Beverly A. Pleas, both of Council Bluffs, and Brenda L. Brown of Omaha; five brothers, A. Dawayne Pleas with the U.S. Army stationedd in Korea, Gary, Randy, Keith and Rodney, all of Council Bluffs.
