Carl W. Schroeder

Funeral services for Carl W. Schroeder, 90, of Route 1, a pioneer farmer, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Meyer Chapel.

The Rev. Carl F. Schattauer Jr., pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will be at the Plumer Settlement Cemetery.

Mr. Schroeder died Friday at a local hospital after a three-month illness.

Born in Germany, he came to the United States and his present home on Route 1 at 13 years of age. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Survivors include:
Six sons, William H., Fred H., and Elmer A., all of Council Bluffs, Carl W. Jr. of Milford, Neb., Arnold C. of Wolbach, Neb. and Lawrence H. of Seward, Neb.

Three daughters, Mrs. Charles Craigmile and Mrs. Herbert Nansel, both of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Erwin Imig of Seward, Neb.; brother, Ferdinand F. of Emerson, Neb.; 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family suggested memorials may be made to the Jennie Edmundson Hospital building fund.
